Individual Impact Of Individual Lives Saved

Chance (aka Romero) waited for 3 years

Born in July 2015, rescued in 2016, adopted in February 2019

Breed: The “always-happy-wagging-my-tail” pittie that had no chance of finding a home for many years

Current Home: With Janet and Duane

My story: I was owned and abandoned and had to fight for survival on the streets of Aegina. And I did well in surviving as a stray, probably because of my loving and outgoing nature. I love humans and dogs alike. I am the first one to greet new people that come to the shelter with enthusiasm, wagging tail, and a smile. I love to jump at people and have not learned yet not to do it. But I want to be very close to people, am very energetic, love to jump at you and still have to learn a ton!

Even though I have a HUGE fan club around the world, due to the fact that I am a pittie mix, I waited for many years for my home. I had a lot of freedom at the shelter, but a shelter can never replace a home.

Thanks to ZSP who found me the best home ever! They even flew over all the way to Greece to pick me up. I had to travel in a CR82 kennel, because I am a “dangerous breed” according to the airline. But ZSP had already purchased one and therefore could bring me over.

I now live on a 8 acre farm close to the border of Canada together with Sam and Bailey, 10 rescued cats, 2 rescued horses and have sooo much space to run. Upon arrival I visited obedient training with the best trainer in Olean who also trains police and bomb sniffing dogs. Who knows where my talent will lead to! LOL
For now, I want to say thank you to ZSP who believed in me. Without them I would still wait in the shelter, probably forever. I now go back and run with my canine friends and continue to chase some of my new cat friends. Although I am not allowed to, I know.. My mom Janet keeps a close eye on me and gives me the time and patience I need to fully become the dog I always wanted to be!
